A device that detect defects of a decorative layer of a painting in non-invasive way by measuring movement of the objects surface.
The device measures displacement field with the accuracy up to several nanometres.
The displacement is measured only in one direction at a time.
The direction can be normal or parallel to the object plane.
The specimen ideally should have bright, mat and opaque surface.
The field of view is about 3x5 cm.
The specimen can be subjected to a mechanical deformation during the measurement by dedicated actuator.
